Lot 2481:
Description
Pair of antique black powder percussion pistols decorated with brass tacks or “studding” throughout the dark-stained wooden stocks. The tack decoration was common with Native American tribes during the 19th century. Both pistols show significant signs of age and field use, including heavy oxidation and pitting on the barrels and lock plates. The bores are heavily pitted. These are great wall-hangers for a 19th century display. Please see photos for overall condition. NSN
