Description
This lot consists of two (2) late 19th to early 20th century, solid-frame, double-action, .32 caliber, pocket revolvers. These smaller, compact revolvers were a highly popular defense piece of the time. Both revolvers feature a 2-inch, octagon barrel and a five-shot cylinder. The first revolver is prominently marked “AMERICAN BULL DOG” on the barrel with its serial number, “5957 stamped on the frame under the grip. The second revolver is an Iver Johnson Model 1900. It is clearly marked “I.J. DOUBLE ACTION” and “MODEL 1900” on the top of the barrel. The revolver features the iconic Iver Johnson “Owl’s Head” logo on the hard rubber grips. The serial number 26311 is stamped on the frame under the grip. Both revolvers have a nickel finish that shows patina, spotting, and pitting on the metal surfaces. Please see photos for overall condition. Both bores show light freckling and the rifling is prominent. The triggers are tight, and the double actions work.
