Lot 2476:
Description
This lot features classic examples of early 20th-century “pocket pistols,” a pair of Harrington & Richardson (H&R) Safety Hammer Double Action revolvers. The barrel markings on one of the revolvers clearly indicates the manufacturer as H&R Arms Company, Worcester, Mass. U.S.A., and the caliber as .32 S. & W. CTGE. Both revolvers clearly display the marking “SAFETY HAMMER / DOUBLE ACTION” on the top of the frame. The revolvers feature a nickel-plated finish and are fitted with original hard rubber grips, which display a distinct floral or checkered design. The revolvers have a 2.5” octagonal barrel and a 6-shot cylinder. Both pieces show significant evidence of age and use. The nickel plating is heavily worn, tarnished, and scratched. Both pieces triggers and actions are tight and function properly. The bore on one revolver shows oxidation, while the other bore is clean. The rifling is prominent on both. Please see photos for overall condition. Overall Length for each: 6.5” From Donley’s Wild West Town Museum. S/N 1: 88572. S/N 2: 541. C/R Eligible
