Description
This lot features two mid-century Canadian tobacciana pieces from the Hudson’s Bay Company, featuring their renowned “Imperial Mixture.” The humidor-style canister and smaller pocket tin showcase vibrant red lithography with gold-tone accents and the “Governor and Company of Adventurers of England Trading into Hudson’s Bay” embossed seal on the humidor’s base. Both tins are marked “Made in Canada,” with the smaller tin detailing a blend of Virginia, Latakia, and Perique tobaccos. Condition is good for their age, exhibiting typical surface wear, light oxidation on the metal rims and bases, scattered scratches, and minor paint loss.
