This lot includes five highly desirable titles for the media historian: a reprint of C. Francis Jenkins’ pioneering 1925 work Vision by Radio – Radio Photographs Radio Photograms (Lindsay Publications); R.B. Litchfield’s Tom Wedgwood The First Photographer (1973 Arno Press reprint); W.K.L. Dickson and Antonia Dickson’s foundational History of the Kinetograph, Kinetoscope & Kinetophonograph (Ayer Company reprint); the National Film Society’s Introduction to the Photoplay edited by John C. Tibbetts (1977); and Paul Wing’s comprehensive Stereoscopes: The First One Hundred Years (Transition Publishing). These volumes feature cloth, hardcover, and softcover bindings, providing an invaluable deep dive into the dawn of moving images, television, and 3D optics.
