Description
Brown wax cylinder features the song “The Little Old Red Shawl,” beautifully sung by the prolific pioneer recording artist Mr. George J. Gaskin. Produced by the National Phonograph Co. of Orange, New Jersey, this piece represents a milestone in early recorded sound. The cylinder is in structurally stable condition with some expected surface mold and faint aging, but shows no visible structural cracks or major detrimental scratches. . H 4.5″, W 2.75″, D 2.75″.
