this lot features an early 1900s Thomas A. Edison brown wax cylinder selection number 442, a vocal performance of Arthur Sullivan’s “The Lost Chord” by the renowned pioneer recording artist J.W. Myers. Objectively the wax cylinder shows significant surface mottling, oxidation spotting, and a notable 1-inch break crack on the flat end rim as described by the user. H 4.5″, W 2.5″, D 2.5″.
