ONLINE ONLY Coins & Jewelry - Spring Classic Part 1 - Day 1
Lot 90:
Description
This exquisite late 19th-century desk clock features a vibrant cloisonné enamel orb body decorated with floral motifs, supported by a highly ornate cast bronze base showcasing a winged griffin or dragon figure. The movement back is stamped with several patent dates including May 1890, Dec 1890, and Jan 1891, suggesting an American-market origin during the Victorian era. While the bronze base and enamel work remain remarkably intact with no visible cracks to the finish, the movement is currently non-functional; the winding key meets resistance and requires professional servicing to restore operation. The piece displays a charming aged patina across the bronze surfaces consistent with its age. H 6″, W 4.5″, D 3″. Please see photos for condition.
