Description
A choice collection of four (4) complete, early 20th-century promotional booklets and record logs relating to the Victor Talking Machine Company, all in good condition with their original covers still firmly attached. This lot features excellent local historical interest, with three of the pieces bearing vintage Kansas City, Missouri dealer stamps and imprints. The collection includes: An “Index of Victor Records” log book measuring 7 inches wide by 8.25 inches tall, featuring a heavy textured brown cloth-bound cover with a deeply embossed “His Master’s Voice” Nipper the dog logo. A “The Victrola” promotional booklet measuring 7 3/8 inches tall by 5 inches wide, detailed with a striking embossed gold foil medallion on the front and marked with a Harry H. Thompson, Kansas City, Missouri dealer stamp. A “Victrola: The Newest Models” catalog measuring 8.5 inches tall by 6 inches wide, featuring an elegant cream-colored cover and a purple Wunderlich’s dealer stamp on the reverse A landscape-oriented “Victrola” pocket catalog measuring 5.25 inches tall by 6.75 inches wide, featuring a yellow and black graphic border and marked for Paul’s Victor Victrola’s and Records at 1103 Walnut St. in Kansas City, Missouri. All four items are complete and uniformly in good condition with tight spines, intact text blocks, and securely attached covers.
