Description

An exceptional collection of early 20th-century talking machine ephemera from the Victor Talking Machine Co. of Camden, New Jersey, showcasing the marketing and organizational materials of the early recorded sound era. Included in this lot is an embossed cloth-bound “Index of Victor Records” book containing internal instruction plates for Hall Fibre Needles and blank inventory pages, a multi-page “The Victrola” dealer/agent catalog stamped for a Kansas City dealer, a large multi-panel fold-promotional pamphlet illustrating various Victor and Victrola horn and cabinet models, and two beautifully printed illustrated loose plates showcasing the high-end Chinese Chippendale and Sheraton style cabinetry. Based on the featured models like theVictrola VI, VIII, and XVI, this literature dates to the 1910s era. The collection presents in honest, vintage condition; the booklets show light edge wear, minor toning, and small creases consistent with age, the loose plates exhibit minor corner bumping, and the multi-panel pamphlet cover has cleanly separated but is fully present. H 11.5″, W 5.25″, D 0.5″. Please see photos for condition. From the Allen Koenigsberg collection.
