This exceptional trio of early 20th-century phonograph ephemera includes a “Victor Records in Foreign Languages and Red Seal Records” booklet published by the Victor Talking Machine Co. of Camden, New Jersey, dated January 1908; a British “RecordsUnique and Historical Interest” Catalogue No. 2 issued by The Gramophone Company, Ltd. of London; and a hardbound, textured brown cloth “Index of Victor Records” logbook featuring an illustrated guide on how to index a personal Victrola collectioAdorned with the iconic “His Master’s Voice” Nipper the dog logo, these paper and cloth items offer a fascinating glimpse into the global marketing of early operatic, ethnic, and celebrity recordings. The items show age-appropriate wear, includingnor edge fraying, spine splitting on the Gramophone catalogue, light toning, and minor cover blemishes, though the interior pages remain clean, legible, and largely unused in the index log.
