The Allen Koenigsberg Phonograph Collection
Lot 3468:
Description
This lot features three original, early 1900s advertising booklets and instruction manuals published by the American Graphophone Company of Bridgeport, Connecticut, for the Columbia Phonograph Co. The group consists of a “Columbia Disc and Cylinder Graphophones” promotional booklet featuring detailed color graphics of early horn phonographs, a decorative “The Graphophone” booklet depicting the sprawling Connecticut factory on the reverse, and an instructional guide titled “The Graphophone Entertains Everybody Everywhere” complete with an internal “Miscellaneous Parts and Supplies” price list. These paper artifacts represent a fascinating look into early American industrial history and early home entertainment marketing. All three pieces exhibit expected vintage wear consistent with age, including minor edge fraying, surface smudging, and light toning to the paper covers, but they remain overall intact, legible, and in good stable condition. H 6″, W 3 1/2″, D 0.25″. Please see photos for condition. From the Allen Koenigsberg collection.
