Description

A fascinating trio of original 1920s Edison promotional pieces offering a wonderful glimpse into the marketing genius of Thomas A. Edison, Inc. out of Orange, New Jersey. This lot includes a substantial 1924 “Edison Records” catalog booklet featuring its original list prices leaflet insert, an intriguing “What Edison Likes in Music” essay pamphlet, and a beautifully illustrated trifold brochure announcing “The New Edison Long Playing Records.” Printed on period-correct paper stock, these pieces showcase classic early-20th-century typography and the iconic “New Edison” diamond disc branding. Each piece remains complete and entirely intact, presenting in excellent condition with a warm, authentic age patina, minor edge toning, and light handling wear consistent with vintage paper ephemera, but free of major tears or detrimental markings. The largest booklet measures H 7.5″, W 5.125″, D 0.05″; the narrow pamphlet measures H 9″, W 3.75″, D 0.05″; and the trifold brochure measures H 6.25″, W 3.375″, D 0.05″. Please see photos for condition. From the Allen Koenigsberg collection.
