Lot 3423:
Description
This exceptional trio of early 20th-century industrial literature offers a fascinating glimpse into the nascent era of incandescent lightbulb manufacturing. The lot includes two September 1920 internal manuals detailing lamp parts and defect inspection symbols for “Mazda Service,” alongside a September 1919 booklet titled “The Making of an Incandescent Lamp,” issued by the Works Manager’s Office at the General Electric Edison Lamp Works in Harrison, New Jersey. Bound in paper covers, these scarce documents feature detailed diagrams of bulb anatomy, filament assemblies, and miniature base types. The booklets are in good vintage condition, exhibiting minor edge wear, light toning, and faint staining consistent with their age and industrial origin, with a handwritten signature on the cover of the 1919 publication. H 7.75″, W 5.25″, D 0.25″. Please see photos for condition. From the Allen Koenigsberg collection.
