Description
This extensive collection of The New Phonogram booklets spans the years 1904 through 1912, published monthly by the National Phonograph Co. in Orange, New Jersey. These pocket-sized paper publications served as the primary marketing supplements for Thomas A. Edison’s cylinder record releases, featuring illustrative cover art, promotional commentary, and monthly record lists that document the early history of the American audio industry. The group lot consists of 76 total vintage booklets divided by year as follows: 2 from 1904, 7 from 1905, 9 from 1906, 15 from 1907, 7 from 1908, 12 from 1909, 5 from 1910, 9 from 1911, and 10 from 1912, with a small number of duplicate issues present. The items exhibit age-appropriate wear consistent with handling, including uniform paper toning, scattered edge wear, light creasing, occasional minor corner folds, and sporadic faint staining or dealer stamps, while remaining complete and legible.
