An exceptional piece of early recorded sound history, this original August 1899 trade brochure was published by the National Phonograph Co. of New York, featuring a classic portrait of Thomas A. Edison on the cover alongside a stamped advertisement for retail agents Stoll’s of Trenton, New Jersey. This rare survivor serves as a comprehensive inventory of late Victorian-era cylinders, detailing pricing information, ordering terms, a numerical lookup index, and categorized genre listings including instrumental solos and historical “comic songs” of the period. The paper booklet shows minor toning, light edge wear, and small handling creases consistent with its age, but remains completely intact with a firm, tight stitched binding. H 6″, W 3.25″, D 0.1″.
