Description
Early made leaded glass shade table lamp with gas operated lamp base that has been converted to electric. The shade, most likely made by the Unique Art Glass & Metal Co. of Brooklyn, NY, is a very well done geometric design with caramel, pink, and green slag glass with red semi trans accents. The shade is perfect with no broken or even cracked pieces. The shade measures 16.5″ in diameter and is 8.75″ tall. There is a small ring that has been soldered in place on the inside wall of the shade (see pic) which Unique shades are known for. The white metal base which is believed to not be original to the shade, has the remnants of the original gas plumbing but has been converted to electric many years ago. It measures 25.5″ tall to the top of the finial. It has organic design and the number 505 on the bottom. The base looks like it had a gold wash finish at one time judging from the inside of the shade cap. See photos. From the Allen Koenigsberg collection.
