Description
A truly unique piece of artwork. It is a hand drawn cartoon from Popeye artist Bud Sagendorf drawn in 1973 with Popeye reading and commenting on Allen’s newsletter. According to Allen’s brother Mark, “Sagendorf was a subscriber to the Antique Phonograph Monthly and surprised Allen by sending the cartoon.” The cartoon includes Popeye, Olive Oil, Wimpy, and Sweet Pea. It measures 17.5″ wide, 15.25″tall. It is currently framed under glass and in VG condition with fold marks from when it was mailed in 1973. See photos. From the Allen Koenigsberg collection.
