Description
The Emeralite desk lamp is the original brand name for the iconic “banker’s lamp,” patented in 1909 by Harrison D. McFaddin and manufactured by his New York-based company, H.G. McFaddin & Co.. These lamps are globally recognized for their signature emerald green cased glass shades fused with an opal white interior layer, designed to reflect gentle, downward task lighting that reduces eye strain. In overall VG condition it has the original green cased glass shade with no cracks or chips, original brass lamp base with the sought after articulated arm, and original bulb socket and makers metal tag. The cord has been replaced. Switches on and off easily and lights up. Measures 25” tall in the full upright position with a 7” X 7” square brass base. See photos.
