Description
Cylinder record cabinet is crafted from rich quartersawn oak, showcasing a prominent grain and featuring elegant, original carved foliate molding along the top frieze and paneled sides. A remarkably functional and desirable find for phonograph collectors, the cabinet opens to reveal five spacious drawers, each outfitted with twenty built-in cardboard tubes perfectly designed for securely storing wax cylinder records. The piece is adorned with original, ornate brass drawer pulls, and retains its original top-drawer lock mechanism and key. Objectively, the cabinet is in good condition, exhibiting surface scuffs, scratches, and finish wear consistent with its age and historical use. The top wooden surface shows a visible separation between two wood panels that will require re-gluing to restore it to prime structural condition. H 36″, W 20 1/2″, D 17″.
