The Allen Koenigsberg Phonograph Collection
Lot 3342:
Description
Cylinder record storage cabinet, circa 1900, beautifully crafted from quarter sawn tiger oak. Cabinet features a six-drawer configuration designed to house a sizable collection of cylinder records. The drawers are completely fitted with their original numbered internal cardboard peg cylinder holders, with each drawer featuring 36 individual posts to safely organize up to 216 total cylinders. The piece retains its elegant, original ornate brass drawer pulls and rests securely on classic, stylized paw feet. Structurally sound, the cabinet displays an authentic aged patina with moderate surface wear, including light scratches, minor scuffs, and areas of finish clouding or fading on the side panels. The drawers on the right side have shifted slightly downward and do not close entirely square, which likely requires a straightforward adjustment of the internal runner hardware. H 35″, W 21″, D 20″. Please see photos for condition. From the Allen Koenigsberg collection. Note: Pickup/Transport required. Contacts available Post-Auction.
