Lot 1183:
Description
This Remington Nylon 66 is a classic piece of American engineering, featuring the iconic “Mohawk Brown” Zytel nylon stock that made these rifles famous for their near-indestructible nature and lightweight handling. Produced in Ilion, NY, this semi-automatic rimfire rifle utilizes a tube-fed magazine through the buttstock and is marked “22 L.R. ONLY” on the barrel. The barrel stampings include date codes “PM 3” and “A K,” suggesting a production date in the mid-1960s. The rifle features the signature white diamond inlay on the forend and a black grip cap with the “Nylon 66″ logo. Overall, the piece is in good aesthetic and functional condition, with minor handling marks on the synthetic stock and light thinning of the blued finish on the receiver cover and barrel. The rifling remains sharp and well-defined. H 5″, W 38.5″, D 2”. Please see photos for condition. .22LR; NSN; C&R Elligible.
