Mission Style Oak Sideboard with Cane Gallery
A robust Arts & Crafts era sideboard crafted from quarter-sawn oak. The design features a raised gallery back fitted with a decorative woven cane insert. The case is arranged with a central bank of three graduated drawers—the top featuring a felt-lined interior with dividers for flatware—flanked by two paneled cupboard doors. A single wide drawer spans the bottom of the piece above an arched apron. The cabinetry utilizes dovetail joinery and is accented with hammered metal hardware featuring drop pulls. Condition includes visible surface wear and scratching to the top surface consistent with age and use. There is a distinct hole and breakage in the cane mesh on the gallery back.
