This classic Akimel O’odham (Pima) coiled basket from the American South-West circa 1920. This design features a central dark base with a radiating geometric pattern. Utilizing devils claw for the dark contrasting weave, this tightly coiled basket (approximately 36 rows) has been well cared for. It has a round base, and an overall diameter of 10” It is 3.5” tall.
