Description
This Hopi pottery bowl crafted by Rosetta Huma circa 1971 features a traditional design and color scheme characteristic of Hopi pottery. Predominantly buff colored and adorned with a repetitive pattern around the exterior rim. Inside the bowl is a central stylized figure of what appears to be a bird. Signed Rosetta Huma on the base with a label affects that reads Hopi 1971. There is a hairline crack visible that extends from the rim down the pot wall to just past the edge of the exterior band design. The crack is visible on the interior as well as the exterior when inspected closely. Overall in good condition. Dimensions: 9” diameter overall, 7.75” rim diameter, 3.25” tall, base diameter 2.75”.
