October Fall Classic
Lot 2231:
Description
A classic and substantial leaded glass table lamp in the iconic “Tiffany style” of the early 20th century. The large dome shade features a handsome geometric “brickwork” pattern of caramel slag glass, separated by a deep red band from the lower border. This border is particularly beautiful, composed of a fish-scale pattern of multi-colored, iridescent glass. The metal base has a complementary Art Nouveau style. The shade appears to be in good, stable condition, however there are several tight, hairline cracks which is common in lamps of this age. Original power cord has been replaced with period correct silk wrapped cord. The lamp is estimated to stand 23 inches tall with a shade diameter of 19 inches. NOTE: Pickup/transport required. Contacts available post auction.
