Description

This is a quintessential piece of Mid-Century Americana advertising—a NAPA Auto Parts illuminated wall clock made by the Pam Clock Co. of Mount Vernon, New York. Pam clocks are highly sought after by collectors of vintage advertising and automobilia for their distinctive convex glass faces and quality construction, often seen in garages and service stations of the 1950s and 60s. The clock features the iconic NAPA hexagonal logo in yellow and black against a white background, printed directly on the inside of the glass to protect it from the elements. The item includes the original metal case, glass face, and power cord. Condition is fair to good for its age; the glass face shows significant paint loss and flaking, particularly around the logo’s yellow sections, which adds a great layer of vintage patina but detracts from its overall clarity. The black metal backing shows heavy surface rust and oxidation, typical of a piece that may have been in a humid garage environment, but the metal frame appears intact. The electrical components are present and it lights up and clock works when plugged in. H 15″, W 15″, D 4″ Please see photos.
