Pair Vintage Green Enamel Lamp Shades
This is a fantastic pair of vintage industrial light shades, likely dating to the early-to-mid 20th century. These are classic examples of porcelain enamel barn or factory lighting, featuring a beautiful, glossy dark green exterior and a highly reflective white interior, designed to maximize the light output. The robust construction and the signature dome or “shallow bowl” shape made these shades ubiquitous in industrial settings, from garages and farms to factories and general stores. The enamel over metal construction ensured durability and easy cleaning, essential qualities for the era. The shades are fitted with a metal (likely brass) threaded neck for mounting onto a standard gooseneck or pendant fixture. They are in overall good, used vintage condition, showing wear commensurate with age and use. Imperfections include chips to the porcelain enamel around the rims, exposing the dark metal underneath, and some minor surface scratches and scuffs on the green exterior. The brass necks show oxidation and residue from prior installation. H 5.5″, W 12″, D 12″.
