Description
A great lot for the automobilia collector, featuring two hood ornaments from different golden ages of the automobile. First is the iconic jet airplane from a 1955 Chevrolet, a perfect symbol of the “Jet Age” styling that defined the mid-1950s. It is paired with a classic 1920s-30s aftermarket “Winged Indian” radiator cap ornament, made by the Ternstedt Mfg Co. of Detroit. The large ’55 Chevy jet ornament suffers from heavy pitting and chrome loss across its surface. The Winged Indian is in better shape, with good chrome but some wear to the bronze-tone finish on the face. Jet Ornament: H 3″, W 10″, D 14″.
