Description
A fantastic lot featuring two icons of early typewriter innovation. The first is a Hammond Multiplex typewriter in VG+ condition. It comes complete with its original fitted oak base and “bentwood” style case. The second is the legendary Corona No. 3, one of the most popular and successful portable typewriters ever made, famed for its ingenious folding carriage that allowed it to be incredibly compact for travel. Both typewriters are in vintage, as-is condition. The Hammond has cosmetic wear on its wooden case and a dusty, tarnished mechanism. The Corona shows significant paint wear and chipping and does not include a case. Hammond measures: H 8″, W 14″, D 15″. Corona measures: H 6″, W 11″, D 10″.
