Civil War Auction
Lot 7:
A very nice early Civil War State New York Belt and buckle set with New York made cap box. The non-dug buckle is the “puppy paw” pattern #545 from O’Donnell & Campbell on original belt. The cap box is marked on under flap “C.S. Storms” over “Maker New York” Belt condition is very good plus being fully flexible and not dried out at all. Has clear crinkle pattern on outer side. It shows wear and age. The buckle also shows matching wear and age and has initials carved on back “TM” (may have some long shot research possibilities). The cap box shows wear and age and is in close to excellent condition with full flexibility.
