1/4 plate studio portrait tintype of a seated young Union soldier in uniform holding his musket with fixed bayonet. Wearing his belt with cap and cartridge boxes. Hi jacket buttons have been embellished with gold. Mounted behind a gold oval matte under glass in a typical leatherette case with detached hinge.
