Description
Salish rectangular basket circa 1930s. Made from woven cedar root or similar natural fibers, showcasing traditional craftsmanship. Design motif is a series of alternating columns of geometric shapes with three on the long sides and two on the short sides. Colors in these columns are paired white and black and the other is paired white and brown. There are remnants of a string handle that is frayed and separated which emerges from the center of the basket. Dimensions: 11” long x 8” wide x 6.5” tall. Please see photos.
