Description
9 Indestructible language phone method cylinders produced by The International College of Languages out of New York City, These early 20th-century historical relics showcase “The Language Phone Method” for an Italian Classical Course, featuring a patent date of July 29, 1902. The lot consists of nine cylinders housed in their original paper-wrapped cardboard storage tubes, which feature wonderful graphics of an early listener transcribed at a phonograph. Physically, all nine cylinders appear to be in good, stable condition with no visible cracks or heavy mold growth evident. The vintage cardboard tubes show expected edge wear, scuffing, and minor paper flaking consistent with age, and only four of the nine tubes retain their original lids. Each individual tube measures approximately H 4.5″, W 2.5″, D 2.5″. Please see photos for condition. From the Allen Koenigsberg collection.
