Antique Enterprise Cast Iron Food & Meat Slicer, “Pat. JULY 12 1881” and “IMPROVED” cast on slicer frame arm, likelys Model #23, manufactured around 1901, used in general stores or butcher shops to allow for consistent, uniform slicing of cured meats, dried beef, bacon or vegetables, often referred to as a “guillotine-style” meat cutter, hand-cranked lever slides a heavy steel blade downwards, shows a dark, seasoned patina with minor surface grime consistent with age, wooden handle grip still present, missing the meat feeding tray and the wooden pusher block, fair to good condition, see photos. 21″ x 18 1/2″ x 13″, 30lbs Nice mechanical aesthetic to use as a book presentation display, desk organizer or as a modern decor element.
