Antique Bubble Books Box Set, launched in 1917 by publisher Harper & Brothers in partnership with Columbia Records, Bubble Books are considered the earliest commercial book-and-record bundles produced for children, they could put the mini-records on a phonograph to hear a professional tenor sing traditional nursery rhymes, box set includes 4 books: Robin and Wren, Chimney Corner, Garden of Verses, and Higgledy Piggledy, each book contains two records in excellent condition, box shows age-related wear on the corners, some chipping and flaking, overall dulling of the gloss finish, individual books from this series are regularly found on the antique market, but finding the original retail box structure intact is quite a rare treat!
