(12) Antique Bubble Books Complete Series 1-12, first one released in 1917 by Harper & Brothers in collaboration with the Columbia Graphophone Company, the very first commercial multimedia product to combine book publishing with the emerging recorded music industry, the franchise owes its name to the introductory story where a little boy blows magical bubbles that materialize the various nursery rhyme characters into reality, Harper & Bros published the core 12 volumes sequentially between 1917 and 1920, two final specialized volumes were added later (The Child’s Garden of Verses and The Chimney Corner ), both are included in the Box Set in this auction, books are in fair to good condition for this age, covers show some yellowing, edges and corners are scuffed, slightly frayed, several of them have pencil writing on the covers, #2, 6, 9 and 10 are missing one record, pocket sleeves and records appear to be in good condition, see photos.
