Description

This pair of Western spurs showcases the classic artistry of the mid-20th century, likely dating from the 1940s to the 1950s. Crafted from a heavy brass alloy, the heel bands feature a bold, deep-cut “wheat” or “bar” engraving pattern that catches the light beautifully. The set is complete with hand-tooled leather leathers featuring scalloped “butterfly” style guards and traditional button attachments. While no maker’s mark is immediately visible, the weight and floral-style rowel suggest a quality American manufacturer from the heyday of working cowboy gear. The brass shows a warm, natural patina with expected surface oxidation and minor pitting from age; the leather is aged and stiff with significant cracking. Notably, one spur is missing its buckle strap, and there is a partial tear on one of the circular button guards. H 1″, W 3.25″, D 5″. Please see photos.
