Description

This gorgeous 19th-century German pinfire revolver, chambered in 9mm, showcase the classic design popularized by Casimir Lefaucheux, the French gunsmith. The revolver features highly ornate, deep-relief floral and geometric carved grips crafted from wood, complete with an integrated lanyard loop at the butt. Exquisite gold damascene inlay accents beautifully decorate the cylinder, frame, and trigger guard, elevating this piece to a presentation-grade collectible. Notable markings include a crisp serial number “469” alongside a “Crown over N” German black powder proof mark on the frame assembly. A stylized script “FB” monogram is engraved cleanly underneath the barrel shroud. Configured with a functioning side-loading gate, an under-barrel ejector rod, and a distinctly rifled octagonal-to-round barrel, this single-action, 6.25” inch barreled revolver remains in fine, highly collectible antique condition. It retains a smooth dark patina on its iron surfaces with minor surface marks and handling wear. The gold inlay, engraving lines, and crisply detailed grips remain remarkably intact. Mechanically, the action and trigger are tight and appear to function properly. The bore is clean and rifling is strong. Please see photos for overall condition. Classified Antique.
