Description

This collection features five distinct works of Native American themed art, ranging from original portraiture to limited edition prints. Included is an expressive oil on canvas portrait of a Shaman with a rattle in a classic mid-century style; a vintage Frederic Remington “A Sioux Chief” lithograph; a limited edition hand-colored print by Bicknell (21/200) titled “War Party” dated ’82; a serene winter scene by renowned Kiowa artist Robert Redbird (511/1000); and a striking black and white lithograph by Francis Brenneman (226/500) dated ’93. These pieces represent a broad spectrum of 20th-century Western and Indigenous art styles, from Remington’s historical realism to Redbird’s modern Kiowa aesthetic. The oil portrait shows minor surface craquelure consistent with age. The Remington print has a significant diagonal crack in the lower-right corner of the glass. The remaining prints appear well-preserved within their frames, though some frames show light scuffing and dust. Portrait: H 22.5″, W 18.5″. Remington: H 20.5″, W 16.75″. Bicknell: H 15.5″, W 12″. Redbird: H 19″, W 16″. Brenneman: H 17.75″, W 25.25″. Please see photos.
