Lot 2355:
Description
A compelling collection of nine vintage sepia-toned photogravure-style prints depicting Native American portraits and lifestyle scenes, heavily reminiscent of the historic early 20th-century anthropological documentation work by Edward S. Curtis. As seen in image.png, the lot features powerful, expressive portraits of indigenous individuals alongside cultural landscape scenes, including traditional tipis, an encampment, and individuals on horseback. Each piece is housed in a matching, rustic, dark-stained wood frame that beautifully complements the historical aesthetic of the imagery, making it a perfect group to start your Native American display. Objectively, the prints and frames are in good vintage condition, showing minor age-appropriate wear on the wooden borders such as light surface scuffs and corner rubbing; all of the framed pieces except one retain their protective glass glazing, leaving eight frames fully intact and one frame missing its glass. H 15″, W 12″, D 1.5″. Please see photos for condition.
