Relics of the American West: 1850-1920 - ONLINE ONLY
Lot 2329:
Description
Hand-crafted with the rugged spirit of the American West, this unique wall mirror features four authentic buffalo (Bison) horns mounted to a hand-shaped, scalloped wood plaque. The top horns sweep outward with a dramatic 13″ span, accented by a strip of dark, dense buffalo fur, while smaller horns flank the lower corners. The diamond-inset mirror adds a primitive vanity element, likely dating from the mid-20th century. The reverse shows original pencil notations and a heavy-duty hanging chain. It is in good vintage condition, exhibiting natural wear to the wood edges, minor surface abrasions on the horns, and light age-related clouding on the mirror glass.
H 18″, W 13″, D 13″. Please see photos.
