Description

This collection features an exceptional 19th-century heavy-gauge brass bucket manufactured by the Ansonia Brass Co., showcasing the high-quality craftsmanship of the era with its patented design marked “Dec. 16, 1851″ and subsequent reissues through 1866. Accompanying the large Ansonia piece are two rustic copper vessels: a smaller handled kettle and a rare lidded canister, both displaying beautiful hand-hammered details and heavy brazed seams typical of early American or European kitchenware. The large brass kettle shows a lovely aged patina with minor surface oxidation and typical scuffing; the copper lidded canister has a darker, oxidized finish with some denting consistent with age; the small copper kettle shows verdigris at the handle attachments and moderate interior wear. All pieces remain structurally sound and exhibit the honest wear of functional antiques. H 11.5″, W 17.5″, D 17.5″ (Large); H 6.5″, W 7″, D 7″ (Lidded); H 4.25″, W 6.25″, D 6.25” (Small).
