Description
This fascinating lot of Western Americana captures the high-stakes era of early 20th-century outlaws, featuring a 1908 edition of Tracy the Outlaw: King of Bandits by Harry Hawkeye, published by I. & M. Ottenheimer in Baltimore. Accompanying this is a 1973 50th-anniversary booklet titled Oregon’s Great Train Holdup by Ye Galleon Press and E. Richard Churchill’s The McCartys: They Rode with Butch Cassidy. A standout piece is the Real Photo Postcard (RPPC) depicting the mangled “Great Northern Express Car” after a 1907 dynamiting in Rexford, Montana, by Frankhauser and MacDonald.
