Phonograph Records And Books Auction - ONLINE ONLY
Lot 2083:
Description
A fantastic lot of five early 20th-century Thomas A. Edison phonograph record catalogs, including three Edison Amberol Records cylinder booklets and two Edison Diamond Disc Re-Creations catalogs. These softcover promotional publications served as comprehensive guides for phonograph owners, featuring period cover art, acoustic-era discography, and local dealer stamps such as “Odell’s Jewelry” and “I.A. Samuels” of Sayre, PA. Published by Thomas A. Edison, Inc. of Orange, New Jersey, these booklets offer a wonderful glimpse into early recorded sound history. The collection exhibits honest signs of age and handling, including moderate edge wear, corner creasing, light cover toning, and a clear tape repair to the spine of one of the booklets, though all remain completely intact with clear, legible text throughout. H 7.75″, W 5″, D 0.25″. Please see photos for condition. From the Allen Koenigsberg collection.
