An exceptional collection of vintage reference books and technical manuals essential for any serious early audio enthusiast, detailing the history and mechanics of the phonograph, gramophone, and American jukebox. This carefully curated library features a rare 1892 edition of The Phonograph, and How to Construct It by W. Gillett (published by E. & F. N. Spon, London/New York), complete with an elegant embossed owner name “Maxine N. Meakins” on the title page; the seminal 1959 first printing of From Tin Foil to Stereo by Howard W. Sams & Co. (Indianapolis); the beautifully illustrated Phonographs with Flair: A Century of Style in Sound Reproduction (2001, Schiffer Publishing); A Matter of Records regarding Fred Gaisberg and the golden era of the gramophone (1976/1977, Taplinger Publishing); a spiral-bound historical reference guide titled Jukebox 1889-1993: Over 100 Years of American Manufactured Jukeboxes (Volume 1); and the German historical volume Von der Edisonwalze zur Stereoplatte by Günter Große (1981, Berlin).
