Description
Brown wax cylinder features the baritone solo “When The Mists Have Rolled Away” (catalog number 7124), generally attributed to early recording pioneer J.W. Myers and produced by the Columbia Phonograph Company circa 1901–1902. Lot includes the original Columbia descriptive title slip with a wonderful Columbia Phonograph Co. “Grand” Graphophone advertisement printed on the reverse. The wax cylinder is in good, stable condition with no visible breaks or major structural damage, though light mold and typical faint scuffs are present. The paper title slip shows light creasing and toning consistent with age. H 4.5″, W 2.5″, D 2.5″. Please see photos for condition. From the Allen Koenigsberg collection.
