Description
The piece includes a handwritten note identifying it as a “North American blank” featuring choral singing and a foreign announcement, hinting at its early dictation or field-recording origins. Physically, the wax cylinder shows significant surface degradation, characterized by heavy white mold spotting and efflorescence typical of aged wax compositions, while the protective cardboard canister displays expected age-related fading, light scuffing, and minor edge wear.
