The Allen Koenigsberg Phonograph Collection
Lot 3494:
Description
This exceptionally rare pair of early audio history documents captures the pioneering era of recorded sound, featuring an original 1901 Société des Micro-Phonographes Bettini “Part de Fondateur” (Founder’s Share) numbered 19,668 and a “Action de 1Francs au Porteur” (100 Franc Bearer Share) numbered 4,510, both originating from Paris, France. These Belle Époque style pieces showcase intricate border artwork, a classic vignette portrait, an illustration of an early cylinder phonograph, their oiginal attached coupon sheets, and facsimile signatures of the legendary audio inventor Lieutenant Gianni Bettini. Objectively, the pieces are housed together under glass in a modern metal frame with a lavender mat; the documents exhibit age-relatedtoning, mild horizontal creasing from historic folding, and minor rippling, but the print and graphics remain sharp and legible. H 24.25″, W 18.25″, D .5″. Please see photos for condition. From the Allen Koenigsberg Collection
