This scarce turn-of-the-century promotional Pamphlet, titled “What a Graphophone Does,” was published by the American Graphophone Print for the Columbia Phonograph Co. Featuring historical retail branches across major cities including New York, Chigo, and Paris, this paper ephemeries piece serves as a fascinating window into early sound recording history, detailing models like the Eagle ($12), Columbia ($25), Bijou ($40), and Universal Graphophone ($50). The booklet displays moderate age-related toning, minor staining, a pencil inscription of “$3″ on the back cover, and a noticeable split and tearing along the spine where the pages meet, though the interior text and classic illustrations remain legible and intact.
